Register Your Cell Phone In Case of Emergency

If there is a wildfire near your home and the fire department needs to evacuate people, they will do a reverse 911 call to all homes in the area to inform them when and how evacuation will happen. However you might not be home when they call, so you can register your cell phone number so that when they call homes in your area your cell number will be on the call list too. This website is only for Santa Cruz County.

Do it now, it only takes 1 minute....really. Santa Cruz Regional 9-1-1

WomenCARE is moving to a new home!

WomenCARE has been working very hard and carefully to redefine how they operate so that they not only survive these current difficult economic times, but ensure WomenCARE's future for the years to come. And as of August 1st, they will be in a new home at 2901 Park Avenue, Suite A1, Soquel, CA 95073. The phone number and walk-in office hours remain the same.

They will continue to offer a safe and welcoming place to provide support services for women with all types of cancer, at all stages of the journey. As long as WomenCARE stays true to its mission in our community, women with cancer - and their families - will receive the support they need.

New Healthcare Tool

Congressman Farr unveiled a new healthcare tool on July 8th here at Cabrillo. The site provides a convenient way to see, state by state, specifically how the new health care legislation will help/affect each of us and loved ones (with the exception of undocumented workers, who won’t qualify for benefits).
