Fall 2012 Book Request Process

The Bookstore will start selling books for the Fall Semester on August 13.You can stop by the office to fill out your book request form beginning August 6.

WIA Students
When you come to our office to fill out the book request form, please bring the following items with you:
  • a copy of your current education plan showing Fall 2012 
  • Fall 2012 class schedule printout from WebAdvisor
  • List of books printout from the bookstore website of required books.
We will verify you are registered for classes on your ed plan, are only requesting required books for the classes you are enrolled in and that you are on the list at the bookstore. Starting August 13, you may pick up your approved voucher and take it to the bookstore to purchase your books. You must bring your cash register receipt to our office ASAP.

CalWORKs Students
When you come to our office to fill out the book request form, please bring the following items with you:

We will verify you are registered for classes on your ed plan, are only requesting required books for the classes you are enrolled in and that you are on the list at the bookstore. Then we will fax your request to your ETS.

You may request the voucher be sent back to the Fast Track office for pickup or you can arrange to pick it up from your ETS. Remember if you pick up your voucher from your ETS, you must come to the FTTW office BEFORE going to the book store so we may stamp your voucher. These vouchers cannot be used at the bookstore before August 13. Be sure to take a copy of the list of books to the bookstore when you purchase your books. They need to see which books have been approved. You must bring your cash register receipt to our office ASAP.

Fall 2012 Books

The bookstore will begin selling books to Fast Track students using vouchers on August 13th. You may come to our office starting August 6th to begin the book request/voucher process. You will not be able to pick up your approved voucher until August 13th.

CCC Job Openings

Looking for hands-on training? Want to work outdoors?
California Conservation Corps Monterey Bay is now hiring for full time positions.
They have 80 corpsmembers on five crews in three different communities. Crews in Salinas and San Jose and a crew in Watsonville provide resource conservation work such as trail construction, wetland habitat restoration and fire hazard fuel reduction.

They are looking for young adults who have NOT received their High School Diploma or GED. Corpsmembers work 40 hours at minimum wage, with the opportunity to learn new skills, earn a HSD/GED and scholarships, while serving their community and the state. The CCC is an, on-the-job training program.

Bookstore Closed 7/16 thru 7/31

The bookstore will be CLOSED commencing Monday July 16 through Tuesday July 31st. The bookstore will resume normal hours on Wednesday, August 1st.

This closure will allow the bookstore to direct all staff energies toward preparing the store for a successful fall semester opening.


Scheduled Buy Back, Book Rental Return, and last minute Test Supply purchases will be accommodated during this time frame.
