Student Health Center News

The Student Health Service team would like to welcome you back to the new school year and remind you of our services!

We are located in Room 912 at the Aptos Campus and in the Student Resource Center at the Watsonville Campus. Students can call 831.479.6435 to make an appointment to see a Mental Health Counselor, Nurse Practitioner, or a Peer Educator. The Student Health Center is open Monday thru Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm.

Our nursing staff provide physical health care, health counseling and referrals, and are often utilized by students for psychological issues. We are sensitive to the need for prompt availability and access to services. Anyone presenting with an urgent need is seen the same day for medical or mental health services.
In working with students, our counselors utilize the techniques of brief motivational therapy, with a goal of intake, evaluation, and brief therapy. If this is not possible we refer students to community resources for on-going treatment. We also provide crisis evaluation and intervention and have organized groups for issues of common concern to students.

Supervised Study Log

Print out the PDF and fill in by hand or open the Excel file and type in your hours. The formulas in the Excel file will add up your hours for you. You may also pick up copies in our office.

If you are reporting any supervised study hours, you must submit a Study Log. You may keep this sheet with you or keep it in the binder on our front counter.

Remember that for every one hour of class you may claim one hour of unsupervised study time. Study time beyond that must be supervised. You can work in the Student Resource & Support Network lobby, Library, Computer Technology Center, STEM Center, or Tutoring Center for these hours.
